FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEMES IN CASE OF IN-SERVICE DEATH

Financial support includes assisting the employees in terms of:

1. Coverage for funeral expenses

2. Provision of monetary support to the family/dependents of the deceased employee  

1. OPTCL FUNERAL EXPENSE RULE

   1. Obsequies Expense – Rs. 5,000/-
   2. Transportation of body – Rs. 10,000/-

   3. Death while performing duty – Additional Rs. 5,000/- 

2. OPTCL EMPLOYEES CONTRIBUTORY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME

   1. Contribution received from employees @500/- from Executives and @300/- from non-executives, given to the family of the deceased employee.

3. OPTCL ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME

   1. Rs. 10 lakh to the family of the deceased employee.
