GROUP INSURANCE SCHEME

1. GHI (GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME) FOR REGULAR EMPLOYEES

   1. Premium expense is totally incurred by OPTCL. 
   2. Coverage- All regular employees of OPTCL, including trainees.
   3. Family floater scheme
   4. Family definition – 1+5 (Employee, Spouse, Dependent parent/parent-in-law with no cross pairing, Dependent children(upto 30 yrs.), Dibyang Siblings)
   5. Sum Insured – Rs. 5 Lakh for all employees upto the rank of DGM.
   6. Sum Insured – Rs. 7 Lakh for employees of GM and above rank
   7. Cashless with reimbursement facility available.

   8. Employees are covered from day 1 of the policy including pre-existing disease

2. GHI (GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME) FOR RETIRED EMPLOYEES & SPOUSES OF DECEASED EMPLOYEES

   1. Premium is paid by the ex-employees themselves, OPTCL acts as a facilitator.
   2. Coverage - Retired employees and their spouses, spouses of deceased employees of OPTCL.
   3. Family floater scheme.
   4. Family definition – 1+1 (Employee and spouse)
   5. Sum Insured – Rs. 5 Lakh

   6. Cashless with reimbursement facility available.

3. GPAI (GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE) SCHEME

   1. Premium expense is incurred by OPTCL.
   2. Coverage for in-service death, total permanent disability and total partial disablement of an employee arising due to an accident. 
   3. Capital Sum Insured – 25 lakh for Executives

   4. Capital Sum Insured – 15 lakh for non-executives

4. GSLI (GROUP SAVING LINKED INSURANCE) SCHEME

   1. The scheme has been discontinued by LIC since 2014. However, already-enrolled employees continue to get coverage under the policy.
   2. This is a voluntary scheme.
   3. A premium of Rs. 180/- each month is deducted from the salary of the employee and transferred to LIC. 
   4. Rs. 120 – saving component
   5. Rs. 60 – Risk component

   6. Maturity is payable post-retirement. In case of in-service death, an additional 1 lakh rupee is payable with maturity benefit.
